The Einvironmental Technology Network "Netzwerk Umwelttechnologie"
In the Lake Constance region, approximately 280 businesses and institutions work in the environmental technology sector. The Environmental Technology Network “Netzwerk Umwelttechnologie” was initiated by Lake Constance Location Marketing (Bodensee Standort Marketing GmbH – BSM). BSM manages the network and its platform, www.umweltnetzwerk.net. The aim is to create contacts between established companies, start-ups, universities and research institutions, and to promote the environmental technology sector in the Lake Constance region [more].
The Environmental Technology Network is a part of the Cluster Initiative Lake Constance (“Clusterinitiative Bodensee” – CLIB). The following clusters also belong to CLIB: BioLAGO e.V. (Cluster Biotechnology and Life Sciences), Nano-Zentrum Euregio Bodensee e.V. (Cluster Nanotechnology) and the International Packaging Institute (Cluster Packaging Technology).

The aim of Lake Constance Location Marketing (Bodensee Standort Marketing – BSM) is to internationally market the cross-border, multinational business region of Lake Constance and to strengthen its profile in the global market. The Lake Constance region comprises the four German state districts of Constance, District of Lake Constance, Lindau and Sigmaringen; the five Swiss cantons of Schaffhausen, Thurgau, St. Gallen, Appenzell Outer Rhodes and Appenzell Inner Rhodes; the Austrian federal state of Vorarlberg; and the Principality of Liechtenstein.
Together with our shareholders and partners, we join the strength of political- and business personalities and promote the interests of the business region of Lake Constance. We want to draw attention to the potential of this unique business region around Lake Constance – a region characterised by excellence in research and development, highly qualified employees, creative networks and think tanks, internationally renowned universities and internationally oriented educational providers, short distances to four internationally operating sales markets, and an extraordinary quality of life and leisure activities.
